As cool as the iPod shuffle is I still think it needs a screen of some sort, my not make things interesting and give it a touch screen. Sure it’d be fiddly as hell to use, but who cares.

Other than cost, it could be a cool idea.
In any case, I think the 2nd gen Shuffle was the pinnacle of the product line. It was already ridiculously small and kept the easier to use on-device buttons.
